The Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle is the purest and safest water bottle on the market I have personally seen the laboratory test and it came back showing outstanding results No lining made of aluminum or lead and no toxic paints. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: You may wash the bottle in the dishwasher but handwash the tops. Do not soak the tops in water or put the tops in the dishwasher. They will not work well if you do. I personally handwash the bottle and the tops as it gets them cleaner then in the dishwasher. Get a bottle-brush from your grocery store and scrub inside the bottle with soap and water. To get the new metal smell out, should you experience that, wash with white vinegar and very hot water.
